The "GCC" was created by business students who wanted to create an innovative global platform for creating solutions that attempt to solve the social and economic problems that plague our world. Ahmad A. Ashkar is the Founder of the Global Case Challenge, an annual event that mobilizes the world’s brightest young business minds from top-rated MBA and universities from around the world who come together for a common goal of solving a global social issue. Ahmad also serves as the President of the Hult IBS Consulting Club. Mr. Ashkar is also the creator of Bida World, an on-line innovation platform. Currently, Ahmad is completing his graduate studies at the Hult International Business School (formerly the Arthur D. Little School of Management). Presently in Boston, Ahmad will soon be rotating to Shanghaia nd Dubai where he will work and study as he moves towards completion of this unique global education in the summer of 2010. Nabil Chaachou, is Co-Founder of the Global Case Challenge and Vice President of the Hult IBS Consulting Club. Prior to joining Hult International Business School to pursue his MBA, Nabil built up an extensive international experience in several multinational companies including PECHINEY, RENAULT, ALCAN and RIO TINTO. He held managerial positions as Global Commodities Manager, Subcontracting Manager and Head of Procurement. Nabil is also the author of numerous articles on macroeconomics and strategy and one book “L’ avenir du Maroc”. He co-founded Lighthouse consulting, a company focused on marine and dredging consulting.

Jose Escobar, is a Co-Founder of the Global Case Challenge. He is also the Executive Chair of the Hult IBS Consulting Club. Jose Escobar holds a bachelor and masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Los Andes University, Bogota, Colombia. He is currently enrolled in a MBA program in Hult International Business School in Cambridge, USA. After finishing his engineering studies, he worked for Maersk Line department of international shipments and customer support in Bogota, where he developed global communication and international commerce skills. Then he joined Virtual Engineering LLC, a country representative of Ackerman Inc., where he provided technical consulting services to the Colombian largest contractors in tunneling technologies where he led pilot tube training sessions for microtuneling contractors in Bogota. Additionally, he led various training seminars for Colombian contractors in underground technologies on prestigious Colombian universities and organizations. Prior to starting his Master’s degree in USA, Jose coordinated multimillion dollar bidding offers and acquired exclusive representation rights for Colombia and South America for three new trenchless technologies firms. Haitham Hamid, is Head of the Middle East for the Global Case Challenge. Currently, Mr. Hamid is completing is MBA at the Hult International School of Business where he serves as the President of the Hult Banking & Finance Club. Prior to business school, Haitham worked as a Financial External Auditor for KPMG and Ernst & Young, two of the Big Four auditing firms in Cairo, Egypt. Haitham worked on a large number of engagements related to different lines of business including manufacturing, contracting, services and communications.
Responsible for reviewing & auditing financial statements and achieving audit planning related services such as Assessing & Evaluating Internal Control Systems and reporting to management on weaknesses & deficiencies.
